Acid Jazz. Morph combines individual virtuosity,hot improvisation,and ambience that seamlessly morphs from sensitive jazz standard to deep groove and electronica.
Myles White on Guitar.
Myles has played playing guitar in Melbourne in a range of bands supporting artists such as James Morrison,Tommy Emmanuel Rhonda Burchmore,Paul Anka,in Big bands such as Radio Rhythm Orchestra,Moovin'and Groovin' Orchestra,or smaller jazz ensembles such as a Bob Sedergreen line up.
He has performed with a myriad of singers including Nichaud Fitzgibbon,Kerry Simpson,Bob Valentine, and has shared the stage with guitarists such as Slava and Leonard Grigoryan,Doug de Vries and Geoff Achison, amongst many other fine musicians.
He has also recorded with Dave Gardner,Joe Chindamo,Dave Beck and Ben Robertson.
Whilst you can catch him playing at the Stonnington Jazz in the gardens concerts ,Myles plays locally ,living in Daylesford now for 10 years.
Tony Buchanan on Sax.
Tony has been a top shelf sought after player for decades.A original member of the legendary Sydney based group Crossfire ,they toured with Lee Ritenour,John Grusin ,Michael Franks and Randy Brecker to drop a few names.He also toured Australia with Frank Sinatra,Shirley Mac Laine,Debbie Reynolds,Tom Jones,Mel Torme' and Shirley Bassey.Whilst in the London scene he toured with Ronnie Scott amongst many others,but incredibly this national treasure just happens to live just out of Daylesford and contributes to the vibe of this trio.
Jeremy Alsop on Bass.
Jeremy is widely recognized as one of Australia’s leading bass guitarists, with a comprehensive recording and performing career spanning 25 years. During the 80’s he was a member of the hugely successful band Men at Work.
In the 90’s Jeremy played with Paul Grabowsky’s Tonight Live band and began working with singers Grace Knight, Margret Ulrich, Debra Bryne and Christine Sullivan.
He formed the Lovers with Mary Doumany, which has included several CD releases.
Jeremy has lectured at Melbourne University and Victorian College of the Arts and is keenly sought as a recording engineer and music producer.
