Cyndi Boste

Cyndi Boste has been a singer songwriter of local and international renown since releasing her debut album 'Home truths' in 1999. A decade on and three albums later, she still enjoys a reputation among peers and fans alike as '...the real deal'.

Artists such as Kasey Chambers, Vika and Linda Bull and Kerri Simpson have either performed regularly or recorded one of her songs in recent years. Kasey Chambers even went as far as naming Boste as her 'inspiration' in a U.S. Rolling stone interview whilst touring the States in 2004.

Boste began her musical career more than 30 years ago at the tender age of 15, playing in local coffee shops and as a regular guest on an early morning childrens television programme 'The early bird show'.

Years of playing live in bars throughout Victoria ensued until joining with her brother in a band called 'Steve Boyd and the preachers' in the mid nineties.

Eventually she got back to writing songs and recorded her first solo release entitled 'Home truths' produced by Kerryn Tolhusrt of ex-Dingo fame.

The album was greeted with rave reviews across the Australian music media. The 'L.A. Times' awarded the album 4 stars as did the 'Village voice' in New York and the career of this unique Australian singer songwriter was launched.

Her music is a rootsy blend of country/blues/soul. Her voice is well lived in and true. Her lyrics are beautifully crafted and equally moving.

An artist truly in her prime, she is currently in the process of writing her 5th Album & continues to perform regularly to rave reviews
